Medcom on SiC Innovations and Tram Energy Efficiency at Spårvägsforum in Sweden

Spårvägsforum is one of the most important events dedicated to urban transport in Sweden. The Forum is organized by the Spårvagnsstäderna Association, which promotes the development of tram transport and brings together Swedish cities, regions, operators, and industry representatives.

This year’s edition focused on artificial intelligence, autonomous vehicles, and the future of light rail in the context of challenges such as rising vehicle operating costs.

- Sweden and other Nordic countries are undoubtedly leaders of the energy transition in Europe. For years, they have been investing in green energy and developing environmentally friendly public transport, demonstrating that sustainable development can go hand in hand with economic success. Medcom, in turn, offers technologies and proven rail solutions that can help Scandinavian public transport achieve even better results in vehicle energy efficiency. During Spårvägsforum, many questions concerned our SiC-based solutions, as well as our systems for recovering and storing tram braking energy. On November 17, Medcom will take part in the Swedish-Polish Economic Summit in Stockholm. The event is co-organized by the Swedish Ministry of Climate and Business, Business Sweden, in cooperation with the Polish Ministry of Development and Technology and the Polish Investment and Trade Agency.
